Lenten Pilgrimage

Pupils from St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School sit together inside a church, smiling and resting in wooden pews after completing their Lenten pilgrimage walk from St John Vianney’s Church to St Cuthbert’s Church, with a school banner displayed at the front.

On Wednesday, children from St Cuthbert’s School joined pupils from St John Vianney’s for part of their Lenten pilgrimage. The pilgrimage began at St John Vianney’s Church, where the children gathered before walking together to St Cuthbert’s Church. From there, the children continued their journey back to school.

This was a lovely Lenten experience that allowed pupils from both schools to come together in prayer and reflection. It also gave the children the opportunity to visit another church within the Guardian of the Angels Parish and to share this special time of faith as a community.

We are all pilgrims, walking brings us closer to God and the lives of others. – Pope Francis
