St Cuthbert Catholic Academy is a place of kindness, a place where faith is enriched and a place of belonging.

Any parent wishing to apply for a Reception place for their child to attend our school needs to complete an application form.

Our pupil admission number (PAN) is thirty in each class from Year R to Year 6 and we have two nursery rooms one for pupils aged three and above and one for pupils age two. The numbers of pupils in these smallest rooms depend on demand and staffing ratios.

For Reception places there is an online or paper copy option which must then be submitted prior to the deadline for school admissions. See the Local Authority Website, below.

Reception Applications Applications are open until 15th January 2026.

Timetable for Blackpool primary school appeals for admission to September 2026

By Friday 15th May 2026

Appeal forms to be received by Democratic Services, in order for the appeals to be heard in the first round of hearings.

Appeal forms can be submitted after this deadline but the hearing will not be held until later in the year

By Friday 22nd May 2026

Any additional documents that parents/carers wish to provide (ie. medical evidence) should be sent to democractic services

By Friday 29th May 2026

Notification of appeal hearings will be sent to parents/carers

By Friday 17th July 2026

Appeals that have been submitted by 15th May 2026 will be heard by independent appeals panels

Reception Applications

Any parent wishing to apply for a Reception place for their child to attend St Cuthbert’s Catholic Academy needs to complete an application form. Please note, admission into Reception is not automatic for children attending St Cuthbert’s Catholic Academy Nursery.

New to the Area or Transferring In-Year

In year transfers or out of area applications are handled by the local authority initially and forms for this can be accessed through the following link
