Students at the Y4 Mini Olympics at St Mary's

Year 4 Mini Olympics

Year 4 had a great time at the Mini Olympics Event at St Mary’s Catholic Academy. St Cuthbert’s competed against five other Catholic Primary schools from Blackpool. The children worked really well as a team and took part in Handball, Dance and indoor athletics. Well done Year 4!

Happy Easter!

In our final week together, last term (not in time for the newsletter) we ended our Lenten liturgy experiences with a cross trust assembly. Our two schools joined together to share song, reflection and readings. It was a beautiful event. St Cuthbert’s pupils recreated a section of drama of taking Jesus’ body to the tomb. …

Palm Sunday students with the donkey

Palm Sunday

We re-enacted the journey Jesus made into Jerusalem on Monday. Children waved palm crosses and branches as the procession took place. Children then went back into school to lead a liturgy sharing the scripture readings.

More classes were able to visit the lambs this week at Christ the King. A huge thank you to the many staff, children and volunteers who have helped our St Cuthbert’s family to care for, love, feed and cuddle Betty and Barbara.
